I’ve been thinking about the value of handmade lately. You can’t quantify or commodify handmade goods. They refuse to scale up and they don’t allow themselves to be automated. They are slow, and they are stubborn and they can’t be replicated with AI. And all of that is why I love handmade so much. We aren’t cogs in a machine. We aren’t resorces for a corporation to use. We make things with our hands, and we give them to other people. It’s so very human of us.

Here’s some great stuff to make things by hand with. Yarns, printing inks, a whole lot of paint markers, blank cards, vintage postcards, adhesive cork already cut in the perfect size for tiles, and sunflower favrics so darling that I really need to learn to sew. Come get what you need and keep making things!
