I talked about the beach a few days ago in Fresh Finds, and I think it put some scrappy magic in action. Yesterday, we got these stunning paintings in as a canvas donation, and they remind me of Key West cottages. The best part of a vacation or trip to the beach is disconnecting from the real world. I don’t have any vacations planned, but I love that feeling of disconnecting from the real world, AKA my phone. Lately, I’ve been able to achieve that feeling through crafting. In pottery, I find myself so immersed in creativity that any anxiety I have slowly melts away. Before I started the pottery class, I found myself scrolling on my phone while sewing at home. Taking a class and being surrounded by others has really helped me get into the habit of disconnecting while creating. If you’re looking to connect with others and connect with your art, a class might be a great place to start! This week we are offering an upcycled magnet making class and a sewing machine 101 class. We also have Little Picasso this Friday if you want your littles to connect with art!
