When I (Ellen) was a junior in college, I took an art seminar designed to prepare us for our senior thesis. After reviewing one of my assignments, my professor encouraged me to work on a bigger scale. Women, she said, had a tendency to work small, therefor taking up less space both physically and metaphorically. Her advice made me completely rethink the way I approach size in my work.

Do like to work on large surfaces? We have several large stretcher frames, ranging in size from 22×22 to 34×34. Prefer your canvas pre-stretched? We also have a bunch of new canvases fresh to the floor. Plus, check out this sturdy tabletop easel, Luxo color correcting light, books on a wide range of subjects, and so much more. Open 9 - 6 today!

Are your kiddos off from school this week? We still have some spots left in our Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday Spring Break Mini Camps. Plus, we have Mosaic Planters, Still Life Oil Painting, and Macrame Plant Holder classes coming up this weekend!
