Winter Watercolor Snowflakes: Gilded Ornaments

  • The Scrappy Elephant (map)

Give yourself the gift of a creative pause this holiday season! Join us at The Scrappy Elephant for a cozy workshop designed to help you slow down and capture the quiet beauty of winter.

In this beginner-friendly class, Heather will guide you through painting a delicate, unique snowflake. We’ll explore the magic of masking fluid—an essential technique used to preserve the white of the paper—and finish our pieces with touches of metallic ink to give each ornament a beautiful holiday sparkle.

All materials will be fully provided. You’ll leave the class with a beautiful keepsake for your tree or to use as a gift as well as a foundation in masking fluid techniques for watercolor.

Who is this for?

Absolute beginners: No prior watercolor experience is necessary! You'll discover just how fun and approachable this medium can be.

Developing artists: If you want to master masking fluid or experiment in a low-pressure environment, this class provides a solid foundation.

Anyone needing a breather: If you want to invest in your own well-being and enjoy a peaceful, creative break during a busy season, this workshop is for you.

Come discover the joy of watercolor and leave with a beautiful seasonal ornament and the confidence to keep creating!
