We’ve been hearing murmurings at the store about “no big box Christmas”. People are planning to avoid all the big box stores and spend their dollars on handmade, second-hand, or small businesses. We love this idea, and not just because The Scrappy Elephant is full of handmade and second-hand items, and we are the definition of a small business! We just know that how we spend our money sends a message, in these times more than ever.
And look at all the goodies for sale! We’ve got molds for days - did you know these can be used with a lot more than resin? Polymer and air-dry clays, candle wax, even chocolate melts. Just make sure you run it through the dishwasher on hot first if you are going to use it for anything edible. Some of these molds are handcrafted and truly one of a kind. Topping off the fresh finds today is a nice collection of western jewelry charms, two candle holders (would be so cute with your spooky decorations), oversize styrofoam globes, and a bird’s nest.
