October 14th
Hello and happy Tuesday friends! Are you planning on attending the No Kings Protest on Saturday? It will be a chance to participate in a nonviolent nationwide day of action against authoritarianism and corruption. In addition to joining thousands of friends, you will also have the opportunity to:
donate to the Central Virginia Community Support Fund, which raises money to free Virginians from ICE detention by paying their bond so they can return to their communities;
bring nonperishable foods and personal hygiene items for the Emergency Food Network, a barrier-free food bank serving members of our community in need
Do you need a poster for the protest? Come on over to the Scrappy Elephant any time between 12 and 7 tomorrow, Wednesday October 16th and use our supplies to make a protest poster. We will have some ideas and all the supplies you need, feel free to bring a friend and get crafty!
We have all sorts of fun here for you today- want to really bring the family together for some non screen fun this holiday season? These puzzles don’t come with a picture, but instead you have to solve a mystery in order to put the puzzle together (as someone who is already not a fan of puzzles, this sounds like sheer torture, but hey, you never know!). We have some adorable crochet and knitting books, some lovely paints, some nice Ott lightbulbs, a cool old screen printing lamp, some vintage thread that would make a beautiful display and oh SO much more!
Open from 9-6 for all things creative reuse, wishing you a lovely day friends!
